How much does laundry service cost in Lexington, SC?
Pickup & delivery laundry is usually priced one of two ways: per bag or per pound. Here's how to compare them honestly.
Per-bag pricing
One flat price for a bag up to a weight limit. Ours: $39.99 per bag, up to 20 lbs — usually about 2 loads. That works out to roughly $2.00 per pound, and you never have to weigh anything at home. Fill the bag, tie it, done.
Per-pound pricing
Common nationally at $2–$3+ per pound. It sounds precise, but the final bill is a surprise until weigh-in — and most providers add pickup/delivery fees, minimums, or "service fees" on top.
The fees that actually matter
- Pickup & delivery fee: ours is $14.99 per order — flat, whether you send 1 bag or 6. Watch for providers that charge it per bag.
- Minimums: a "$30 minimum" is common elsewhere. We don't have one — but the flat delivery fee means small orders cost more per bag. Example: two standard Blue Bags of 20 lb or less cost $79.98, plus one $14.99 pickup-and-delivery fee, for a total of $94.97 before optional add-ons or overage.
- Overage: bags over 20 lbs are $2.75/lb with us, billed after weigh-in — and an overweight bag is never automatically rejected.
What a typical week looks like
A family of four usually sends 2 bags a week: 2 × $39.99 + $14.99 pickup-and-delivery, or about 4 loads washed, dried, folded, and returned to your door. Compare that against the cost of doing those loads yourself.
